Rodney Snyder from Riverton, Illinois built his 1988 Pontiac Fiero Pro Street by hand in a two-car garage back in 1987–88. He built the round tube chassis himself, machined the motor, and put it all together with help from two friends—back when they owned a small machine shop.
The car runs a 440ci big block Chevy (.060 over 427 block), with L88 aluminum heads, a Hampton 14-71 blower, and twin 1150 Holley Dominators. It’s backed by MSD ignition and built to run hard.
The Fiero first showed at Du Quoin in 1989. Rodney painted it in 1991, then parked it in his dad’s garage in 1996 when life shifted. In 2015, he brought it home, got it running again, and it’s been back at Du Quoin every year since 2018.
Check it out THIS WEEKEND, May 2–4 at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds.

Rick Freeman from Godfrey, IL has been part of the Du Quoin scene since 1985, and his 1956 Ford F-100 has the kind of history you just don’t see every day. He finished building it in 1988—just in time to take it on his honeymoon to the Nationals—and it’s been making the trip ever since.
Under the hood, it’s running a 390 FE backed by a Toploader 4-speed, with a narrowed 9-inch rear end and a Heidts front suspension. The all-steel front end is fully hydraulically tilted, and it’s still sporting the same paint and drivetrain it left the garage with over 35 years ago.
Rick’s been driving this truck since 1978, and it’s never been trailered—just fueled up and driven in, year after year.
If you’re into vehicles with soul and stories, this is one to see. Register your vehicle or buy discount tickets now before prices go up.

Steve Lowe from Butler, IL has been part of the Du Quoin scene since 1982, and his 1970 Chevy Nova is the kind of Pro Street build that stops people in their tracks.
It’s powered by a Dart 540 with a BDS 8-71 supercharger, built to deliver serious horsepower. Shifting comes courtesy of a TCI Turbo 400 paired with a Kilduff Lightning Rod shifter, and power makes its way to the pavement through a Beilman Fab 9 rearend, a rock-solid setup built for both strength and show.
This Nova isn’t just a crowd-pleaser, it’s a statement. Steve’s been showing up for decades, and he’s bringing the heat again this year. Want to see what Pro Street is really about? Get discount tickets now before prices go up and don’t miss it May 2–4 at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds.

Vincent Zettler from Cerro Gordo is bringing a modern muscle standout to Du Quoin for his third year—a 2019 Camaro 2SS in Riverside Blue Metallic with a sharp black contrast.
It’s got a Roto-Fab cold air intake paired with Borla ATAK exhaust. Sitting on Velgen wheels with a ZL1-style wing out back, this 2SS keeps a clean, aggressive stance. And with a full-body wrap, the finish is every bit as sharp as the hardware underneath.
If you`re into modern builds that blend performance and precision, this is one to check out. Register your vehicle or purchase discount tickets now to see it in person May 2–4 at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds.

It’s running a 510 cubic inch big block Chevy, paired with a TH400 transmission and a Ford 9-inch rear end. The custom paint finishes it off, but this isn’t just a showpiece—it’s built to run.

Robert Jennings has been bringing his ’67 Camaro to Du Quoin for 30 years, and it’s the kind of car that doesn’t need a spotlight—it earns it.
It’s running a 383 small block Chevy, and a Fab 9 rear-end to make sure it sticks when it counts. Inside, the funny car cage isn’t for show—it’s there because this thing was built to be driven hard.
If that’s your kind of vibe, you know where to be. Pre-register now before prices go up, and we’ll see you May 2–4 at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds.
