Vincent Zettler from Cerro Gordo is bringing a modern muscle standout to Du Quoin for his third year—a 2019 Camaro 2SS in Riverside Blue Metallic with a sharp black contrast.
It’s got a Roto-Fab cold air intake paired with Borla ATAK exhaust. Sitting on Velgen wheels with a ZL1-style wing out back, this 2SS keeps a clean, aggressive stance. And with a full-body wrap, the finish is every bit as sharp as the hardware underneath.
If you`re into modern builds that blend performance and precision, this is one to check out. Register your vehicle or purchase discount tickets now to see it in person May 2–4 at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds.

It’s running a 510 cubic inch big block Chevy, paired with a TH400 transmission and a Ford 9-inch rear end. The custom paint finishes it off, but this isn’t just a showpiece—it’s built to run.

It’s running a 383 small block Chevy, and a Fab 9 rear-end to make sure it sticks when it counts. Inside, the funny car cage isn’t for show—it’s there because this thing was built to be driven hard.

Barry Deatherage from Highland, IL, has been rolling into Du Quoin since 1990, and his 1953 Chevy 3100 pickup, affectionately known as Elmer, is a true Pro Street legend with character to match the chrome.
Powered by a stout 355 small block, Elmer sits low thanks to a Mustang II front suspension and a narrowed rear frame housing a shortened Ford 9-inch rear end. Out back, you’ll find massive 33x21.50 Hoosier tires tucked under the bed, mounted on classic Cragar wheels.
This truck was built at home, the old-school way, and even made a quick cameo on an episode of RoadKill, earning its stripes in the world of gear-heads and garage-built glory.
If you know, you know—and if you don’t, Du Quoin is the place to find out. Pre-register now before prices go up, and come check out Elmer and the rest of the Pro Street crew May 2–4 at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds.

Michael Heinzmann from Odin is bringing his 1971 Chevrolet Nova to Du Quoin, a restomod Rally Nova that blends classic style with modern muscle. Over the past 10 years, this build has undergone a frame-off rebuild, making it a serious contender in both performance and looks.
Under the hood sits an LS 5.3, paired with a 4L60 transmission, giving it the reliability and power of a modern drivetrain. A Ford 9-inch rear end ensures all that power gets to the pavement. Inside, the Dakota Digital dash brings a sleek, updated feel, while a Holley Terminator system keeps the LS running strong.
Built at Rod Richards Speed Shop, this Nova is the perfect mix of classic Chevy muscle and modern upgrades. If you want to see builds like this up close, pre-register now before prices go up and join us May 2-4 at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds.

Quentin Sullivan from McLeansboro has been a part of Du Quoin for 15 years, and his 1992 Chevy Silverado has become a fixture in the Show-N-Shine crowd. It’s all muscle, all attitude, and 100% built by friends and family in true grassroots fashion.
At the heart of it is a blown and injected 540 big block Chevy, backed by a Turbo 400 trans and a Ford 9-inch rear end loaded with 4.86 gears. Out back, it’s riding on Mickey Thompson 33x21.5x15 tires that give it that unmistakable Pro Street look.
This truck wasn’t bought, it was built—assembled piece by piece in the garage with late nights, busted knuckles, and a whole lot of horsepower. It’s loud, it’s raw, and it’s exactly what Du Quoin is all about.
If you’ve got something worth showing—or just want to see machines like Quentin’s up close—pre-register now before prices go up and make your way to Du Quoin, May 2–4, at the State Fairgrounds.

Chance Duringer from Goreville is bringing a true classic to Du Quoin—his 1979 Ford F-100, restored back in 1990 and still turning heads. Painted in Ford Candy Apple Red, this truck packs a built 351 Windsor under the hood with true dual straight-pipe exhaust, making sure it sounds as good as it looks. It keeps its original trim, now accented with a fresh grille shell, grille insert, and headlight bezels. Sitting on chrome aftermarket wheels with a fresh undercoat, it’s got the stance and style to match its history. Inside, the restored interior stays true to its era, keeping that classic Ford feel.

Steve Schien from Springfield, IL, has been bringing his builds to Du Quoin since the ‘80s, and his 1978 Chevy Pro Street C10 Longbed is a true street-driven beast. No trailer, no gimmicks—just a fully built, road-ready machine.
Under the hood sits a 409 Chevy—not a small block, but the real deal from the ‘60s—pushing 563 horsepower and 527 lb-ft of torque on pump gas. Feeding the fire is a Mickey Thompson Crossram with a pair of 600 Holley carbs. Power runs through a Chrysler A833 4-speed transmission with a Lakewood bellhousing and McLeod 11" clutch, while the A/C runs off the driveshaft.
The truck sits on a solid dropped front axle with leaf springs and a narrowed Ford 9-inch rear end with a 4-link and coil-over shocks. It rides on Center Line Auto/Drag wheels with massive Mickey Thompson 33-21.5x15 rear tires, giving it an unmistakable stance. And despite all that muscle, it still pulls over 11 MPG at 70 MPH with the A/C on—because why not?
Steve built this truck himself, with most of the work done between 1983 and 1987, and the chassis has been refreshed in recent years. This C10 is as real as it gets—a true street bruiser with a history and a driver behind the wheel.
